At Pika Application Limited (“Peeka”), we are dedicated to protecting the privacy, security, and rights of all Data Subjects — including Buyers, Vendors/Merchants, Delivery Agents, Partners, Prospects, and Website Visitors.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use, store, disclose, and protect personal data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR 2019), applicable Nigerian laws, and international standards.

By using Peeka’s services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal and operational data depending on your interaction with Peeka:

2.1 Account Information

  • Name, Email, Phone Number, Password (encrypted).

2.2 Delivery Agent Data

  • Live Photos / Face Capture.
  • Personal Details (Name, DOB, Address, Next of Kin)
  • Current Location (Google Map API)
  • Means of Identification (International Passport, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, NIN, BVN).
  • Transportation/Vehicle Information (Type, Brand, Color, Plate Number, Driver’s License).
  • Guarantor Details (Name, Phone Number, Address).

 

2.3 Vendor / Merchant Data

  • Business Details (Business Name, Type, Address, Phone Numbers, CAC Registration No., TIN).
  • Store/Brand Information (Logo, Trade Name) and Location
  • Product Information (Product Type, Description, Photos, Delivery Mode).
  • Owner’s Identification (Valid ID, Utility Bill).

2.4 Customer / Buyer Data

  • Contact Information (Name, Email, Phone Number).
  • Delivery Addresses (via Google Maps).
  • Order and Payment History.

2.5 Location Data

  • Delivery Agents: Real-time GPS tracking when logged into the app.
  • Buyers/Recipients: Delivery addresses if enabled in device settings.

2.6 Operational Data

  • Availability, preferred delivery zones, language proficiency.
  • Communication records (support requests, chat interactions).

We use collected data for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Fulfilling orders, enabling deliveries, vendor onboarding, and customer support.
  • Identity Verification: Confirming the authenticity of users to prevent fraud.
  • Payments: Securely processing transactions through trusted gateways.
  • Trust Capital Program: Facilitating vendor funding and repayment tracking.
  • Growth Partners Program: Managing referral rewards and affiliate activities.

6. Data Retention

Data no longer required is securely deleted or anonymized.

Users are prohibited from uploading, sharing, or transmitting unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or fraudulent content. Violations will result in suspension and reporting to authorities.

9. Dispute Resolution

Issues must be reported in writing or via in-app chat within 24 hours. Peeka will investigate and respond promptly.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by Nigerian Law and international data protection standards. Disputes shall be resolved by arbitration in Nigeria.

11. Breaches & Enforcement

Any breach of this Policy will trigger investigation and appropriate disciplinary, contractual, or legal action.

12. Changes to Policy

Peeka reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the platform, with the effective date clearly indicated.

13. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold Peeka harmless against claims, damages, or expenses resulting from misuse of the platform, policy violations, or unlawful actions.

14. Severability

If any provision of this Policy is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

This Privacy Policy, along with our Terms of Use, constitutes the entire agreement between Peeka and its users.
